SUCCESS STRATEGY:

“Have a vision that includes everyone.”

We are all limited only by how large we see our world. A child’s imagination has no limitations until they are taught that certain dreams can never come true. When our three sons were born, my husband and I committed to creating a big world for them. By this, I do not necessarily mean a world of material abundance, but a world abundant in experiences; a world in which we would have great presence in their lives, which would be viewed in terms of blessings and gratitude.

While this was our vision for our family, the pressures and realities of every day life were often a different story. When our children were young, I was working 12-hour shifts as a nurse in maternal child health. My job was extremely stressful, but because my husband was a teacher and we lived on a fairly limited income in a very expensive part of the country, I knew I would always have to work in some capacity. We worked hard to juggle our schedules, so that one of us could always be at home for our children, but the grind of a stressful job and three young boys made me realize I did not want life to be like this forever.

When I was introduced to the world of network marketing with another company 10 years ago, I immediately saw how this could be an open door for me to realize my dreams for my family. As with so many other Consultants, my Why started with my husband and three boys. Now as I look at my sons who are almost grown, I am so grateful that staying home with them and never putting them in childcare was a reality for us. We were able to do and experience so much as a family, as a result of the flexibility and the income this industry provided. As we look ahead to college tuition, it is with great peace of mind that we know we will probably not have to mortgage our home to pay for exorbitant college costs.

When I made the decision to join Arbonne last summer, I realized my Why had changed. It was still about caring for my teenage sons and husband, and the flexibility and potential income security, but my Why had expanded beyond myself and my family. As I searched for a new company to join, I was looking for a company with great vision that allowed room for those willing to work hard to see their dreams realized. My Why began to extend beyond myself to my team, and I began to dream about the incredible impact a company like Arbonne could make on the lives of people I cared for, and would bring into this company.

The first time I heard President Rita Davenport speak, I realized Arbonne was that company. I listened as Rita shared how she started with Arbonne as a way to provide long-term security for her extended family. As I continued to listen, I saw that Rita’s vision had grown. It was so inspiring to listen to this amazing woman whose vision had a place for me and my team! At NTC, John Maxwell stated that people often leave companies because they outgrow that company’s leadership. When I heard Rita speak, I quickly saw that the leadership lid in this company would provide for me, and those I brought into Arbonne, an incredible, unlimited opportunity for growth. I honestly felt that with hard work, the sky was the limit.

I cannot express the incredible joy that fills me as my Consultants share how their lives are changing, and the financial aspect is merely the beginning. I see that Arbonne is a vehicle for creating a big world, not only for my own family, but for countless families I have, and will continue to have, the privilege to work with. As we bring new Consultants into our organization, I love listening to their Why and dreaming with them. I see so clearly how Arbonne can impact their lives in incredible ways and radically change futures.

Now, as I look back over the past nine months, I am in awe of what we have accomplished. There are days when there is so much energy and excitement, I literally feel like I cannot breathe. Once again, my Why is evolving. It is still about my family and my team, but I am allowing my world to expand even more. As my monthly income potential grows beyond my wildest dreams, I am humbled and challenged. I think, “How do we take this great gift and extend it beyond ourselves into action that will impact the world?” I recently read that extreme poverty could be eliminated worldwide if every American chose to give just 50 cents a day, every day, for one year! Wow, in just one year and with concerted effort, we could do what was previously thought impossible.

I am convinced the impact we are experiencing with Arbonne today in the lives of our Consultants is just the beginning of the impact Arbonne can make to improve and benefit our world in the years to come. If we continue to be people of vision with generous hearts, we can do great things in ways that we are just beginning to imagine. We are truly given so much and consequently, I believe much is required of me in return. It is exciting to dream of what lies down the road. We are all so blessed to be a part of this company. With Arbonne, we can truly create big worlds, for our loved ones, for our communities and for our planet.

I want to thank God for making all things possible. I am eternally grateful for the blessings He has put in our lives; they go beyond anything that I could have ever imagined or hoped for.
